The climate of Ceuta can be described as mild subtropical Mediterranean, significantly influenced by its proximity to both the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks to this unique location, the weather here remains comfortable throughout the year, without sharp temperature fluctuations, extreme heat, or severe cold.

Seasonal differences are clearly observed in the city, especially in terms of rainfall levels. Summer in Ceuta is warm and arid: from June to August, rain is a rarity, and the average air temperature hovers at a pleasant 24°C, occasionally reaching 28°C. Sea breezes bring freshness, so it rarely feels stifling here even at the height of the season.

Winter brings coolness and increased humidity. Between November and February, the temperature is usually around 13–14°C, and the number of rainy days increases noticeably. Nevertheless, winters here are very mild, and frosts are completely uncharacteristic for the region, making Ceuta an excellent destination for travel even in the low season.

Ceuta is distinguished by a mild and pleasant climate throughout the year, thanks to which extreme weather conditions are practically non-existent here. Winter in the city is very warm by European standards: January is usually the coldest month, when the average temperature holds at 13.1°C. Even on the coolest nights, the thermometer rarely drops below 11°C, so a light jacket or sweater is sufficient for a winter trip.

The summer season brings comfortable warmth without sweltering heat. The hottest months are July and August, when the air warms up on average to 23–24°C, and daily highs reach 27–28°C. This is the ideal time for those who love the sun but do not tolerate intense heat well: the sea breeze is pleasantly refreshing, making high temperatures quite comfortable for relaxation.

A characteristic feature of Ceuta's temperature regime is the small amplitude of daily fluctuations. The difference between day and night readings is small—usually amounting to just 3–7 degrees—which creates a sense of stability and cosiness. Transitional periods, such as May and October, delight with mild temperatures in the range of 18–20°C, offering tourists wonderful conditions for long walks.

Precipitation in Ceuta is distributed unevenly throughout the year, which is typical for the mild Mediterranean climate of this region. Two seasons are clearly distinguished here: a rather humid period covering autumn, winter, and early spring, and an arid summer. Since the air temperature even in the coldest months rarely drops below 11–12°C, precipitation falls exclusively as rain, and snow is not found here.

The highest probability of precipitation remains from November to March. The "wettest" month in terms of rain frequency is March, when about 12 rainy days are recorded. In November and December, the weather can also be changeable: in these months, travellers should be prepared for rains, which occur on average 9 days per month. However, even during this period, precipitation is rarely prolonged, and sunny days are not uncommon.

The summer season, conversely, delights with stable and dry weather. From June to August, rain practically ceases. July is considered the driest month, when rainfall is generally absent completely (0 rainy days). In June and August, the chance of rain is minimal—only 1–2 days for the entire month—creating ideal conditions for a beach holiday and long walks around the city.

When planning a trip to Ceuta in the summer period, opt for light clothing made from natural fabrics such as cotton or linen, as daytime temperatures often reach 24–27°C, and rain at this time is a rarity. Be sure to pack sunscreen with a high protection factor, sunglasses, and a hat in your suitcase to protect yourself from the active sun. Do not forget swimwear, as the weather from June to September is ideal for a beach holiday.

For trips during the winter months and early spring, when the temperature stays within 11–15°C, it is worth using the layering principle. During this period, especially in March, the number of rainy days increases, so a light waterproof jacket, windbreaker, or raincoat will become indispensable items. It is also recommended to take comfortable closed shoes for long walks and a warm jumper or hoodie for the cool evenings characteristic of the off-season.
