Columbus House (Casa de Colón) is one of the most iconic landmarks in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, located in Spain. This magnificent museum is situated in the historic Vegueta district and occupies a building designed in the recognizable Neo-Canarian style, which is a significant architectural monument of the city in its own right.

Columbus House owes its name and global fame to the tradition that the great navigator Christopher Columbus stayed here in 1492. His first transatlantic expedition was forced to delay on the island of Gran Canaria to repair one of the ships, the caravel Pinta, before setting off on the historic voyage to the shores of the New World.
Today, Columbus House is a large and fascinating museum complex dedicated to the Age of Discovery. The exhibitions, spread across three levels of the building—including picturesque courtyards and even underground areas—tell the story of the close ties between the Canary Islands and America, as well as the history of Las Palmas itself. Visitors can see both authentic artifacts from that era and impressive reconstructions related to Columbus's travels and the rich history of the Canary Islands.
