The complex is divided into several functional zones: from a professional 50-meter sports pool and diving towers to the themed "The Lost City" area. Here, guests can find ruins of ancient civilizations, lush vegetation, and aquariums with exotic fish, creating a total sense of being in the wild forests of the Amazon.

Beyond water activities, Gustavsvik Resorts includes a high-class five-star campsite, a gym, and cozy relaxation areas. It is an ideal location for a family vacation, where modern entertainment technologies blend harmoniously with comfort and quality service.

What to Do

The main magnet for adventure seekers is The Lost City zone, which houses the most breathtaking attractions. You can challenge the "Wild River" (Vildforsen), spin in the powerful Vortex, or catch a wave in the special wave pool. For the bravest, there are modern high-speed slides stylized as an abandoned jungle.

If you prefer a more relaxed or athletic pace, a large indoor Olympic-standard pool is at your service. Here you can have a full workout or take a dive from the tower. For younger visitors, there are safe shallow pools with play elements and fountains, where the water is always at a comfortable temperature.

During the summer, the leisure options expand: access opens to outdoor pools, Family Slide water areas, and spacious green lawns for sunbathing. After an active swim, it’s worth stopping by the relaxation zone or fitness center to recharge your batteries for new adventures.

Getting There

The entertainment complex is located in the southern part of the city at Stenbackevägen 4. Getting here from the center is quite simple: a car ride takes no more than 10–15 minutes, and there is parking available for visitors on-site.

If you prefer public transport, take a bus from the city center (for example, routes No. 11 or No. 13) to the Gustavsvik stop. The journey from Örebro Centralstation by bus takes about 20 minutes. You can also use taxi services, which is convenient for large groups or families with small children.

For those who enjoy active travel, walking or cycling is a great option. The distance from the center is approximately 4–5 kilometers, and the well-developed network of bike paths makes the route pleasant and safe.

History & Facts

The history of this site began not with water slides, but with industrial production. From the 1880s to the 1910s, a brick factory owned by Emilia Gustafsson operated here. It was after the owner that the area received its name — Gustavsvik. After the factory closed, the clay pits gradually filled with water, turning into picturesque ponds.

In the 1930s, as part of unemployment relief programs, work began on landscaping the area. The first outdoor pool appeared between 1933 and 1938. In the late 1950s, one of the reservoirs was modernized: the bottom was lined with stone and a water purification system was installed, creating the so-called "Family Pool".

The indoor complex began to develop in 1963 with the construction of a 50-meter sports pool. A real breakthrough occurred in the early 2000s, when a large-scale modernization transformed the facility into a full-fledged tropical paradise. The last major update in 2015 introduced "The Lost City" area, cementing the water park's status as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.

Time Needed

To fully enjoy all the attractions, pools, and relaxation areas, it is recommended to plan a visit of at least 4–6 hours. This is enough time to try all the slides in The Lost City, swim in the sports pool, and spend some time in the relaxation zone.

For families with children, Gustavsvik Water Park often becomes a full-day destination. Given the availability of cafes, playgrounds, and (in the summer season) extensive outdoor picnic areas, it is easy to spend 7–8 hours here without noticing how time flies.

The water park welcomes guests daily, although the schedule differs between weekdays and weekends. Please note that on Thursdays and weekends, the complex opens earlier:
