The Discovery Point complex is located at Riverside Dr, Dundee DD1 4XA, right on the scenic banks of the River Tay. Thanks to its central location, it is easy to find even for first-time visitors to the city.

The most convenient way to get there is a short walk from Dundee Railway Station, which takes no more than 10–15 minutes. City buses also run along the waterfront, stopping almost right at the museum center's entrance.

From Monday to Saturday, Discovery Point is open from 10:00 to 17:00. On Sunday, the museum opens slightly later—from 11:00 to 17:00. It is recommended to arrive no later than one hour before closing to have enough time to see the main part of the exhibition.
