After returning home, the team spent three years researching and preparing before Cornwall FootballGolf Park officially opened its doors to its first visitors in July 2014, becoming the first and largest purpose-built park of its kind in the UK.

The park was established on the grounds of an old golf course. Following a successful debut season in 2013–2014, the owners carried out a major renovation. In April 2015, the site reopened with redesigned holes, more challenging obstacles, and even special ball lifts, taking the game to a new level of comfort and excitement.

Over its decade of existence, the park has become one of the most popular outdoor activities in the region. While the location is constantly updated, it retains the charm of the traditional Cornish landscape, situated close to historic clay mining sites and old St Austell golf clubs founded back in the early 20th century.

To fully enjoy the game and complete one of the 18-hole courses at a leisurely pace, a standard group of 4–6 people usually needs between 2 and 2.5 hours. If you plan to visit the park with small children and choose the simpler Parkland course, the active part of your visit will take about 2 hours.
