Imagine a place where the boundaries between humans and wildlife virtually vanish — that is exactly what "World of Birds," the legendary pavilion of the Bronx Zoo, offers. Located in New York, USA, this innovative exhibit opened in 1972 and has since remained one of the most impressive sites for ornithology enthusiasts worldwide.

The exhibit covers an area of approximately 2,787 square meters and is housed in a unique two-story Brutalist building. Inside, natural biomes have been recreated: from arid deserts to lush tropical rainforests featuring real 40-foot waterfalls. It is home to about 350 birds representing over 200 species, including exotic toucans, birds of paradise, and majestic hornbills.
The site's architectural design adds particular value: visitors move along winding ramps, passing through massive aviaries with no visible barriers. Thanks to clever lighting and an abundance of live plants, a complete sense of immersion into the natural habitats of birds from all corners of the planet is created.
