Imagine a modern architectural marvel literally reaching for the sky in the heart of the metropolis. The Seattle Convention Center Summit is the newest addition to the landscape of Seattle in the USA, opening its doors in January 2023. This facility has become North America’s first "vertical" convention center, efficiently utilizing urban space and adding over 53,000 m² of floor space for major events.
The Summit building stands out with its incredibly transparent glass facade, which blurs the lines between the interior halls and the busy streets. Inside, visitors are greeted by sun-drenched atriums and terraces offering breathtaking views of Puget Sound and the legendary Pike Place Market. Architects from LMN Architects designed the building to be a natural extension of the urban environment, integrating public spaces and pedestrian zones.
Particular attention was paid to sustainability: the center is LEED Platinum certified. The interior design utilizes eco-friendly and recycled materials, such as wood from former local businesses, giving the ultra-modern building the warm, authentic character of the Pacific Northwest. Today, the Summit serves as a key hub for global innovation, exhibitions, and cultural events, bringing together residents and visitors alike.
