General San Martín Park is the primary and most famous park in the city of Mendoza, a true green oasis in the heart of Argentina. Spanning a vast area of approximately 393 hectares, it is a favorite recreation spot for both locals and numerous tourists. The park was named after General José de San Martín, the national hero who led the army in the struggle for the country's independence.

Designed at the end of the 19th century, the park project combines the elegance of French classicism with the romance of the English style. The territory is home to many interesting features: a picturesque artificial lake where you can go rowing, a rose garden with hundreds of species, and more than 30 sculptures decorating its alleys. The park's entrance is graced by majestic gates that were originally intended for a Turkish Sultan.
General San Martín Park is not just a green zone, but an entire cultural and entertainment complex. It houses the Museum of Anthropology and Natural Sciences, a zoo, a hippodrome, a velodrome, and even the Frank Romero Day Greek Theater, where the famous National Grape Harvest Festival (Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia) is held annually. This place is perfect for leisurely walks, picnics, and experiencing the cultural life of Mendoza.
