History & Facts

The history of Superfly Dortmund began in 2016 when the park first opened its doors to visitors. The idea for creating such an entertainment center came from the enterprising Thomas Madej. Interestingly, a tennis hall was originally located on this site, but due to the declining popularity of tennis, Madej sought a new, more in-demand use for his facility. Thus, the concept of a modern trampoline park was born, which quickly gained popularity and, according to available information, even exceeded its creators' expectations.

To realize his ambitious idea, Thomas Madej began collaborating with the American company CircusTrix, which had extensive experience in this field—at the time, it already managed 80 indoor trampoline parks in the US and was actively looking to expand its presence in the European market. The initial investments in the first parks of the chain, including Superfly Dortmund, amounted to about one million euros each. Compared to the later and more large-scale projects of the network, this was a relatively modest sum, but it allowed for a solid foundation for future growth.

The success of the first parks inspired further development. By 2019, the Superfly chain planned to open 20 parks, and by 2020, this became an official goal. As of 2023, besides Dortmund, Superfly centers were successfully operating in German cities such as Duisburg, Wiesbaden, Hannover, Aachen, and Dresden. The network continues to grow actively, with plans to open new parks in ten more German cities, highlighting the high popularity of this format of active recreation.

Time Needed

To enjoy a visit to Superfly Dortmund and explore its main zones, it is generally recommended that an average visitor plan for 1.5 to 2 hours. This time is usually enough to fully enjoy the variety of trampolines, test your strength on the Ninja Course, land safely in the foam pits, and try other exciting attractions the park offers.

Of course, the actual time spent can vary. If you want to explore every activity without rushing, practice jumps, or just spend more time moving, you can easily set aside up to 3 hours. It's also worth considering that on weekends or holidays, when there are more visitors, additional time may be needed to wait for access to some popular attractions. For families with small children, the length of the visit may also depend on their activity levels and endurance.

Working Hours

Exact opening hours for Superfly Dortmund can vary, so it is highly recommended to check the current information on the park's official website or contact them directly before visiting. According to available data, there is special time on Saturdays and Sundays for the youngest visitors under 4 years old, when they can safely use the trampolines. Generally, indoor trampoline parks operate year-round, but it's best to confirm this for Superfly Dortmund.

To guarantee a spot, especially on weekends, holidays, or during school breaks, it is recommended to book tickets in advance. This helps avoid disappointment if the park is fully booked. Information about available sessions and online booking can usually be found on the official website.
