Approximately 120–130 premium stores are concentrated within the complex. Here you can find legendary brands such as Nike, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, and Swarovski. The main feature of this place is the opportunity to purchase collections from previous seasons with significant discounts of up to 70% off the original retail price.

The outlet is built on the site of a former military airbase, which gives its location a unique industrial charm. Thanks to its position in the "tri-border" region, it has become a magnet for tourists not only from the German states but also from neighboring France and Luxembourg. A high rating of 4.5, based on thousands of reviews, confirms its status as one of the best destinations for brand hunters.

What to Do

The main activity here is, of course, endless premium shopping. You can spend an entire day moving between the Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, and Escada boutiques in search of the perfect look. In addition to clothing and footwear, the outlet features a wide selection of accessories, perfumes, and even exquisite home goods from brands such as Villeroy & Boch. To ensure you don't miss the best deals and stay informed about private sales, experienced visitors recommend installing the center's mobile app in advance.

When your shopping bags become too heavy, you can take a breather in one of the cozy relaxation zones. There are numerous cafes and restaurants on-site, including the popular La Place, which serves fresh salads, juices, and full breakfasts. This makes the complex an excellent place for family leisure: while adults are busy choosing new outfits, children can have fun at the specially equipped playgrounds.

In addition to daily shopping, the center often hosts special events and festivals. Notably, during school holidays and festive periods, the outlet sometimes opens its doors even on Sundays, which is a rarity for German shopping centers. And if your retail therapy is completed ahead of schedule, picturesque parks and a modern water park await you in Zweibrücken itself.

Getting There

Getting to this popular shopping destination is easy, as the complex is located in an industrial zone at Londoner Bogen 10–90. If you are planning to travel by car, follow the A8 motorway: the outlet is located right at exit 34 (Contwig). Thanks to its excellent visibility from the highway, it is almost impossible to miss.

For those who prefer public transport, buses run every hour on weekdays and Saturdays from the center of Zweibrücken. You can also always use the services of a local taxi, which will take you from the nearest train station straight to the boutique doors in just a few minutes.

For owners of private vehicles, free parking is provided on-site, making your visit as comfortable as possible. Due to its proximity to the borders of France and Luxembourg, the outlet often becomes a convenient stop for transit tourists traveling through Europe.

History & Facts

The history of this retail giant is inextricably linked with the region's past. The outlet was opened in 2001 on the site of the former Zweibrücken Air Base, a US Air Force facility that was active until 1991. Following the withdrawal of troops, a large-scale conversion project began: a modern civilian airport and an extensive industrial zone grew on the site of the military airfield.

Initially, the project was named the Designer Outlet Zweibrücken. Over the years, the center has changed owners and concepts several times: it was first managed by McArthurGlen, then by Neinver under The Style Outlets brand. Since 2017, the property has been managed by Via Outlets, receiving its current name.

Each expansion of the territory has been accompanied by growing economic significance for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. By 2020, more than 1,250 jobs had been created in the complex's shops and restaurants. Today, it is not just a shopping platform, but a successful example of how former defense sites can be transformed into leading international tourist and economic hubs.

Time Needed

When planning your visit, it is worth considering that the scale of the center is quite large. For a thoughtful exploration of most boutiques and trying on collections, 3 to 5 hours are usually required. This time is quite enough to leisurely stroll through the shopping alleys and take a lunch break.

If your goal is specific brands or you are short on time, you can manage in 2 hours by studying the shop map in the mobile app in advance. Families with children who plan to visit the play areas and enjoy a full meal at the restaurants should ideally set aside half a day for the trip.

Working Hours

The shopping center typically welcomes visitors from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00. On Sundays, most shops are closed; however, there are exceptions: during Easter, summer, or autumn holidays, the complex may operate on a special schedule.

The outlet is open 318 days throughout the year. To make your trip as productive as possible, we strongly recommend checking the official website before your visit to confirm the current opening hours for specific dates.
