The name "Bandstand" comes from the historic bandstand where orchestras used to perform to entertain the public. In the early 2000s, the promenade was completely reconstructed and landscaped, turning into a well-maintained space with paved paths, green areas, and viewing platforms. At the southern end of the promenade, near the old fort, there is an amphitheater where cultural events and concerts are regularly held.
Today, Bandstand Promenade in India is not just a walking area, but a place with a special atmosphere. It offers magnificent views of the modern Mumbai skyline and the famous Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Additionally, this area is known as "Bollywood's Walk" because the residences of many Indian cinema stars are located nearby, adding a touch of glamour and attracting many of their fans.
