This is the ideal moment for those who wish to enjoy the sun, which Indonesia generously offers, without the risk of getting soaked by sudden rain.

The climate in this region is distinguished by enviable stability, typical of equatorial latitudes, so Ende delights travellers with warmth all year round. The hottest months here usually become October and November, when the average daytime temperature rises to +29°C…+30°C. This is the transition period before the rainy season, when the air warms up to the maximum, creating a sensation of intense tropical heat.

Interestingly, the summer months typical of the Northern Hemisphere (June, July, and August) are actually the "coolest" and most pleasant period here. At this time, dry weather sets in, and the average temperature decreases to a comfortable +24.5°C…+25°C. The calendar winter months (December, January, February) actually turn out to be slightly warmer, maintaining average figures around +26°C, but are accompanied by high humidity and frequent precipitation.

Precipitation here falls exclusively as rain, as the air temperature remains comfortably high all year round. When planning a trip to Ende, one should orient towards a consistently warm tropical climate. It is important to consider the seasonality of rainfall when planning your luggage. The period from November to April is distinguished by high humidity and frequent rains — in January and February, precipitation can fall almost daily. For a trip at this time, be sure to pack a raincoat, a compact umbrella, and quick-drying footwear. Conversely, from June to September, a dry season sets in with a minimal number of rainy days. In these months, the sun is particularly active, so do not forget high-quality sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses.

Regardless of the season, for exploring the surroundings you will need comfortable and reliable walking shoes, for example, light trainers or trekking sandals. Considering that Indonesia is in the tropics, it would not be superfluous to bring insect repellent for protection in the evenings.
