The history of the establishment began on March 27, 2017, thanks to the efforts of the Barmanagement.pro team. The project's founder, Nikolay Kanishchev, who has many years of experience in the bar industry, and chef Anton Oborin created a unique space where serious gastronomy meets authentic bar culture.

The bar was named after the legendary Scottish national hero Rob Roy MacGregor, often referred to as the "Scottish Robin Hood." This image of a folk hero is reflected in the rugged interior: here you can see massive brick walls, leather furniture, and thematic decorative elements such as bull heads.

Interestingly, the premises occupied by the bar today have their own historical past. In the 20th century, it housed a newspaper editorial office, and later a framing workshop. The brick vaults of the basement have preserved the spirit of the old city, creating an intimate and protected atmosphere for guests.

By 2024, Rob Roy Bar had firmly established its status as one of the best restaurants in Central Russia, entering the top 18 according to the prestigious WHERETOEAT award. Today, it is a flagship project of the local gastro scene, combining Scottish pub traditions with modern culinary techniques.
