Looking for solitude amidst untouched nature? Ob Khan National Park is a hidden gem located in the province of Chiang Mai. Unlike more popular tourist spots, this park in Thailand maintains an atmosphere of tranquility and pristine beauty. Its territory covers picturesque mountain ranges and dense forests, with the highest peak, Yod Khun Tien, rising to 1,550 meters above sea level.

The main symbol of the park is the majestic Ob Khan Gorge—a deep canyon carved by the Mae Khan River through rock formations. The walls of the gorge, reaching up to 30 meters in height, create a dramatic landscape that is especially impressive in the rays of the setting sun. Convenient trails are laid out through the park, allowing visitors to see not only the cliffs but also the mysterious stalactites of Takkatan Cave, as well as several cascading waterfalls.
The wealth of flora and fauna here is striking: gibbons, deer, and exotic birds like hornbills live among the teak and bamboo thickets. Ob Khan National Park is an important ecological site, as it is where many tributaries of the Ping River originate, sustaining life throughout the region.
