In the heart of Danbury, Connecticut, USA, lies a unique monument to the transportation era — the Danbury Railway Museum. It is housed in the magnificently restored 1903 Union Station building, which itself is an architectural gem in the Richardsonian Romanesque style with Colonial Revival elements.

This museum complex covers more than 6 acres and includes not only waiting rooms with historical displays but also a massive rail yard. It houses an impressive collection of over 70 units of rolling stock, including vintage locomotives, passenger cars, and service equipment, reflecting the history of transportation in southern New England and New York.
As a site listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, the museum preserves the atmosphere of the early 20th century. Visitors can see a unique locomotive turntable, explore a rich library of blueprints and schedules, or simply enjoy the sight of the steel giants that were once the backbone of the region's economy.
