Tam Coc - Bich Dong is a picturesque nature complex in Ninh Binh province, often referred to as "Halong Bay on land." Located in Vietnam, this area is striking for its resemblance to the famous Halong Bay, but instead of seawater, emerald rice fields stretch out, surrounded by impressive karst mountains. It is one of the most photogenic and popular tourist destinations in the country.

The name "Tam Coc" translates to "three caves," highlighting the main feature of the site. A journey on a small boat down the Ngo Dong River will take you through these three natural caves (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba) while you admire the serene landscapes: limestone cliffs reflecting in the water and rice fields that are green or golden depending on the season. This boat trip is a key element of visiting the complex.
In addition to its natural beauty, the complex includes Bich Dong — an ancient pagoda picturesquely built into a mountainside. A visit to this temple complex, built back in the 15th century, adds a cultural and historical dimension to the natural splendor of Tam Coc. The entire area is part of the Trang An Landscape Complex, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and offers an unforgettable experience for anyone looking to discover the incredible nature and history of Northern Vietnam.
