Structurally, Trang An is a harmonious combination of three state-protected areas: the Trang An-Tam Coc-Bich Dong natural complex, the significant cultural and historical complex of the "Hoa Lu Ancient Capital," and the pristine Hoa Lu primeval forest. The total area of this natural treasure reaches nearly 62 square kilometers. The Trang An ecosystem extends 10 kilometers in length and includes about 50 explored caves and 30 picturesque underground lakes, enticing visitors with their mystery and beauty.
Visitors to Trang An can expect a truly breathtaking landscape: a unique alternation of majestic limestone mountains with numerous caves decorated with colorful stalactites and stalagmites. The entire area is permeated by the calm waters of the Sao Khe River, which creates inimitable karst landscapes with mirrored water surfaces reflecting the sky and cliffs. Special mention goes to the Tam Coc area, which is part of the complex and located in the Ngo Dong River valley. It is rightfully considered the quintessence of the natural beauty of this amazing corner of Vietnam.
