The Haifa Zoo, also known as the Louis Ariel Goldschmidt Educational Zoo, is a unique destination in the city of Haifa, Israel. Located in the picturesque Central Carmel district, it harmoniously combines the functions of a traditional zoo with the important mission of an educational center, offering visitors not only an introduction to the animal kingdom but also the chance to learn about habitats and species conservation.

The zoo's territory spans approximately 3 hectares on the northern slope of the Lotem Wadi. This location gives it a special charm and interesting topography: the zoo stretches downward along the mountain slope. From its lower points, breathtaking views of the forested slopes and the distant sea open up, creating a unique atmosphere for a stroll.
As a member of the international zoo community, the Haifa Zoo actively participates in global programs for the conservation of rare and endangered species. It is no coincidence that the majestic Bengal tiger—an endangered species—became the zoo's symbol. A visit to the zoo is not only an exciting adventure but also a contribution to the noble cause of protecting wildlife.
