Le Cornelle Faunal Park (Parco Faunistico Le Cornelle) is one of the largest and most famous zoos in northern Italy, located in a picturesque area near the city of Bergamo. The park covers an impressive area of about 126,000 square meters and is home to over 1,000 animals representing around 120 different species from all over the world. The symbol of the park is the rare white tiger, which is no longer found in the wild.
The park's primary mission is not just to entertain visitors, but to perform important scientific and conservation work. Le Cornelle actively participates in programs to preserve rare and endangered species, creating conditions for its inhabitants that are as close as possible to their natural environment. Here, you can encounter snow leopards, giraffes, rhinoceroses, and hippos, as well as visit special themed areas like "Aldabra Island" with giant tortoises or the "Tropical Forest."
