Salerno Maritime Terminal (Stazione Marittima di Salerno) is more than just a transport terminal; it is a true architectural masterpiece that has become a new symbol of the city of Salerno. Located on the waterfront, this futuristic structure catches the eye with its unusual shape, resembling a giant oyster or seashell frozen at the edge of land and sea. The building harmoniously blends into the coastal landscape, creating a striking contrast between modern lines and the classic beauty of Italy.

The terminal project was designed by the world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid. The building is made of architectural concrete, and its undulating roofs and smooth transitions reflect the dynamics of sea waves. The total area of the terminal is approximately 4,500 square meters, and it serves as a key link connecting the city with the Amalfi Coast and other Mediterranean ports.
The interior of the station is as impressive as the exterior. The space is organized on the principle of flowing streams, helping passengers navigate easily between waiting areas, ticket offices, and piers. Thanks to panoramic glazing, the waiting halls offer breathtaking views of the Gulf of Salerno, turning a routine wait for a departure into an aesthetic pleasure.
