If you want to truly experience the authentic atmosphere of the northeastern region, the Podlaskie Museum is the perfect place to start. Located in the heart of Białystok, this museum is considered one of the most important cultural centers representing Poland in this region.

Founded back in 1921, today the museum occupies a magnificent 18th-century historical building on Kościuszko Market Square. Previously, this grand structure served as a barracks, but now it carefully preserves evidence of Podlasie's rich heritage—from ancient archaeological finds to exquisite works of art.
Its collection includes more than 200,000 exhibits. Visitors can see unique collections of traditional costumes, ancient textiles, and original wooden sculptures by local craftsmen, which reveal the unique character and ethnographic diversity of this part of the country.
