Towering over the city, St. Roch's Church is more than just a religious building; it is a true manifesto of Polish Modernism and a symbol of national rebirth. Located in the city of Bialystok, this temple is officially known as the Monument to the Restoration of Poland's Independence. Its monumental forms and snow-white facade make it one of the most recognizable landmarks in the region.

The uniqueness of the church lies in its architectural design: it is one of the first churches in the world built in the Modernist style using reinforced concrete structures, which were innovative at the time. This allowed the architect to create an incredibly spacious and bright interior, free of heavy internal supports. The building is crowned by an impressive 83-meter tower, topped with a three-meter statue of the Virgin Mary.
The church is situated on top of a hill that was formerly a cemetery, which gives the site a special sense of solemnity. Today, it is not only an active Catholic church but also a popular tourist destination, attracting architecture and history enthusiasts from around the world with its airiness and clean lines.
