Nestled in the picturesque forest of Otradnoye, within Svetlogorsk, lies the Amber Period Park — a unique themed complex for family leisure in Russia. Spanning approximately 4 hectares, this destination harmoniously blends an educational center, a zoo of extinct species, and a modern play area.

The park's defining feature is its eco-friendly approach: not a single tree was felled during construction, and all buildings follow a consistent wooden aesthetic. At the heart of the grounds sits a giant volcano that simulates an eruption, scattering pieces of genuine amber. Here, guests are also greeted by realistic, life-sized dinosaur figures and a famous bear sculpture carved from an 850-year-old oak.
The park immerses visitors in the prehistoric past and tells the story of how Baltic amber was formed through interactive installations. The Amber Pyramid and a tree with "flowing" resin make a stroll through the forest both pleasant and educational, turning a visit into a true journey through time.
