The Pokrovsky Cathedral is a magnificent Orthodox church and a true architectural gem adorning Barnaul. Built in the grand Russian-Byzantine style, the cathedral immediately catches the eye with its red-brick walls and bright sky-blue domes. This majestic piece of spiritual heritage is one of the most recognizable landmarks Russia takes pride in within the Siberian region.

The church was built at the beginning of the 20th century using donations from the parishioners of the Zayachya Sloboda district, making its history particularly touching. Inside, visitors will find an atmosphere of tranquility and rich decoration: unique frescoes and icons painstakingly restored by modern masters. The cathedral holds a high status as the main cathedral of the Barnaul Diocese.
