City Garden, also known as Gorky Park or GorPark, is the oldest park in Krasnodar, located in the Western District of this southern city in Russia. It is not just a green space, but a place with a rich history and unique natural features. One of the park's main highlights is its two-level layout: the upper part is located within the second terrace above the floodplain, while the lower part spreads across the river's floodplain, creating picturesque elevation changes and diverse landscapes.

The territory of the City Garden is a true botanical paradise. Visitors are greeted by shaded alleys, including a beautiful black walnut alley and a large-leaved lime alley. Here you can see the elegant Japanese pagoda tree, as well as hazel—a tree listed in the Red Data Book of Russia, highlighting the park's ecological value. Mighty red oaks add majesty to this green oasis in the city center.
The special pride of the City Garden is four specimens of pedunculate oak, which are over 600 years old. These ancient giants have been granted "natural monument" status and attract many tourists and locals wishing to touch living history. In addition to its natural riches, the park also houses cultural and historical monuments, making a walk through the City Garden not only a pleasant outdoor break but also a fascinating journey into the past.
