In the picturesque Karasunsky District of Krasnodar, you will find the majestic "Defenders of the Fatherland Borders – Border Guards" memorial complex. This site of strength and remembrance features an impressive 15-meter obelisk topped with a gilded double-headed eagle. Surrounding the central stele are five three-meter bronze figures, each representing a distinct era in the history of border protection, for which Russia is renowned.

The memorial's composition is unique for its versatility: here you can see the legendary Ilya Muromets, a Suvorov-era soldier, a sailor, a Cossack, and a modern-day border guard with his faithful four-legged companion. The artistic ensemble was created by renowned Kuban sculptors Vladimir and Serafima Zolotukhin. Their work received high praise from both city residents and at the national level, winning first prize in a competition held by the Russian FSB.
The monument was built using charitable funds, highlighting the deep respect of the townspeople for the border guards' feat. Today, it is a popular landmark attracting attention with its detailed craftsmanship and monumental scale, serving as an important point on the city's tourist map.
