What to Do

The main reason to visit this club is skiing and snowboarding. You will find several runs: from gentle training slopes for those stepping onto a board or skis for the first time, to steeper sections for experienced riders. Evening sessions accompanied by dynamic music and bright floodlights create a special energy, turning a regular workout into a true celebration.

If you are just starting your journey in winter sports, be sure to use the services of qualified instructors. These masters of their craft will help you quickly master the technique and feel confident on the slope. For those who do not have their own equipment, there is a modern rental shop and a ski service, where specialists will prepare your skis or snowboard to perfect condition.

Between runs, you can relax in the local cafe, warm up with hot tea, and have a snack while watching other skiers. Special discounted terms often apply for children and seniors, making the club an excellent choice for a family weekend. Even in the summer, the area attracts outdoor enthusiasts, such as cyclists who appreciate the hilly cross-country terrain.

Getting There

There are several ways to reach this sports facility from Moscow. The club is located approximately 35-40 kilometers from the city center via the Novoryazanskoye Highway (M5). If driving, follow the highway until the turn for Chulkovo, then follow the signs. Both paid and free parking lots are available for visitors. The roads here are cleared regularly, but it is wise to check their condition in advance during the spring period.

If you prefer public transport, take a commuter train from Kazansky Railway Station to the Otdykh or Voskresensk platforms. From there, you can reach the Telman village (Chulkovo) by local bus or taxi. Additionally, minibuses run regularly toward Chulkovo from the Vykhino or Ryazansky Prospekt metro stations.

A taxi from Moscow is the most comfortable option, especially if you are traveling with your own gear. The optimal arrival time on weekdays is around 11:00 AM, when the trails are least crowded, allowing you to enjoy open runs.

History & Facts

The history of this location is inextricably linked to the development of national aviation and astronautics. In 1948, a young skier and graduate of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI), Guy Severin, noticed a picturesque slope in the Chulkovo area while on a test flight in a Tu-2 bomber. This discovery became the starting point for a sports section dedicated to the employees of the Flight Research Institute.

The club founder’s personality is truly legendary: Guy Severin was the general designer of NPP Zvezda. It was under his leadership that life support systems were created, making Yuri Gagarin's flight and Alexei Leonov's first spacewalk possible. Thanks to Severin's influence, modern trails and lifts for that era were installed at the base in 1976.

For many years, the resort was a favorite vacation spot for designers, test pilots, and cosmonauts. The modern era of the club began in 2004 with the establishment of a non-profit partnership that carefully preserves traditions while developing a youth ski section, nurturing new generations of athletes in Russia.

Time Needed

To fully enjoy the skiing experience, most visitors need between 4 and 6 hours. This is enough time to complete 15–20 runs, get used to the trails, and take a break at the local cafe. If you plan to take lessons from an instructor or rent equipment, it is worth allowing an additional 40–60 minutes for administrative steps.

On weekends and public holidays, the stay can extend to a full day (about 8 hours) due to higher traffic at the lifts. On weekdays, however, thanks to the absence of queues, even 2–3 hours of intensive skiing can provide a great deal of pleasure and allow you to finish your full program.

Working Hours

The club operates on a flexible schedule, allowing guests to ski both in the morning and late at night. On Mondays, the slopes open at 2:00 PM and stay open until 11:00 PM. From Tuesday to Thursday, the doors are open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and on Fridays and Saturdays, hours are extended until midnight (00:00) for night skiing enthusiasts. On Sundays, the club welcomes guests from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Please note that the operating hours may change depending on weather conditions or technical maintenance on the slopes. Before your visit, it is highly recommended to check the trail status on the official website or by phone to ensure the resort is open.
