History & Facts

The history of this location is inextricably linked to a major milestone in the city's life. Jubilee Park was founded in 1975 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Kryvyi Rih. Its creation was part of a large-scale development program that also saw the construction of new residential areas and industrial facilities.

The modern appearance of the park began to take shape in the early 2000s. In February 2002, the Monument to Internationalist Soldiers was solemnly opened, becoming an important place of remembrance for city residents. Later, in 2011, a monument to the legendary "Paratrooper No. 1" — Army General Vasily Margelov — was installed on one of the alleys.

The spiritual life of the area expanded in 2007 with the laying of the foundation for the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Search of the Lost". Archbishop Ephrem consecrated the capsule with relics in the foundation, and by 2010, a full spiritual and patriotic center had opened here, featuring a unique museum of military glory.

Time Needed

To enjoy a leisurely stroll through the shady alleys, explore the memorial complexes, and visit the museum, guests typically need about 1–2 hours. This is plenty of time to feel the atmosphere of the place and take a break from the city noise.

If you plan to attend a service at the church or spend time with children at the playgrounds, you might want to set aside half a day. The park is large enough to offer activities for visitors of all ages.

Working Hours

One of the park's main advantages is its accessibility. It is open to the public around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This allows you to plan your walk for early morning or late evening, enjoying the peace and quiet.

Whether you decide to visit on a Monday or a Sunday, the park gates are always open for you. However, please keep in mind that the museum and church may have their own operating hours, which may differ from those of the park.
