Did you know that in the heart of Europe, you can encounter a piece of mysterious Laos? The White Lotus Buddhist Temple is a unique architectural and spiritual landmark located in the city of Cherkasy. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Europe and the primary sanctuary for followers of the "Sha-Fut-Fan" kung fu school, which translates to "The Clan of the Five Martial Cats."
Built on the picturesque hills overlooking the Dnieper River, the temple is striking in its exotic beauty. Constructed from red brick, the complex combines elements of Eastern philosophy with strict military discipline. Its main symbols are two stupas: the White Stupa, embodying feminine energy and the harmony of the universe, and the Black Stupa, symbolizing the masculine principle. At the foot of the Black Stupa lies a hidden pyramidal room containing a mysterious stone of cosmic origin.

This site in Ukraine attracts travelers not only with its unusual architecture but also with its special atmosphere of peace. On the grounds, you can see five green prayer drums, an altar wall with the face of Buddha, and even ancient stone warriors brought from Laos. White Lotus is not just an open-air museum but an active spiritual center where Eastern traditions are seamlessly interwoven with local character.
