The temple was built according to the design of the famous architect Louis Delacenserie. Masterpieces of Gothic architecture, such as the famous Cologne Cathedral and the Votive Church in Vienna, were used as models. Thanks to this masterly approach, the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful and impressive Neo-Gothic buildings on the entire Belgian coast.
The building is striking in its impressive dimensions: its length is 70 meters, its width is 36 meters, and its two towers proudly soar 72 meters high. These grand proportions emphasize the majesty and elegance of the architectural design, making the church visible from afar and leaving a deep impression on every visitor.
