Built in the late 19th century, the cathedral building impresses with its majestic appearance, executed in a Neo-Gothic style with harmonious Neo-Romanesque elements. Its facade is adorned with two symmetrical high square towers featuring clocks and characteristic triangular spires. A large Gothic rose window above the main entrance particularly catches the eye—a classic element of European cathedrals from that period, adding elegance and monumentality to the building.
The interior of the cathedral is just as splendid as its exterior. Visitors are greeted by high vaults that create a sense of space and light. A special atmosphere is created by the impressive six-meter stained-glass windows, painted by famous masters, which fill the space with colorful reflections. The centerpiece is the magnificent white marble altar, along with a statue of Jesus Christ pointing to his sacred heart, which gives the cathedral its name. It is a place where history and spirituality intertwine, creating an unforgettable experience for every guest.
