Dongsheng, located in Inner Mongolia, China, is characterized by a distinct continental climate. For spring and autumn, a sweater and a windbreaker make an ideal combination, as they are easy to remove when it warms up during the day.

In summer (June–August), your wardrobe should consist mainly of light clothing made from natural fabrics, but it is worth bringing a sweater or a light jacket for evenings when temperatures drop to +17...+20°C. Due to the high altitude and strong sun, sunglasses and sunscreen with SPF protection will be useful year-round.

Don't forget comfortable shoes for walking across the steppe landscapes and moisturizing products, as the air in the region is quite dry. A compact umbrella or raincoat will come in handy mainly in July and August, when the chance of precipitation is highest.
