The fastest way to reach the coast is to fly into Weihai International Airport, which receives flights from many major cities across the country. The terminal is conveniently located and well-connected to the city's infrastructure, allowing you to begin your holiday almost immediately after landing.

If direct tickets are unavailable, an excellent alternative is flying to neighbouring Yantai, located just 60 km away. Major transport hubs are also frequently used for connections — Qingdao (223 km) and Dalian (162 km), from where it is easy to continue the journey by ground transport.

Contrary to outdated perceptions, Weihai is perfectly integrated into the Chinese railway network thanks to modern high-speed lines. Comfortable high-speed trains (categories C and G) regularly run here from neighbouring metropolises, arriving at the city's main station or Weihai North Station.

A trip by car offers freedom of movement and the chance to enjoy coastal views. The shortest route leads from the city of Yantai: the distance of 70 km can be covered in just 1.3 hours. The journey from Qingdao will take a little longer — about 3.1 hours (265 km) via high-quality expressways.

If you are heading from the city of Dalian, be prepared for a long journey: a route of about 190 km can take around 9.6 hours due to the need to use a ferry crossing or take a land detour around the bay. Taxis for intercity trips are available, but it is best to negotiate the fare with the driver in advance or use ride-hailing apps.
