Yueqing, located in the coastal Zhejiang province, has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. In winter, in this part of China, precipitation most often falls as light drizzle or fine rain. Snow here is an extremely rare and exotic phenomenon. Nevertheless, due to high air humidity, even light precipitation can create a damp and chilly feeling, so tourists are advised to always have reliable rain protection with them.

When preparing for a trip to Yueqing, it is important to consider the high humidity and seasonal changes. In spring and autumn, the principle of layering is the ideal choice: light clothing made of natural fabrics during the day and a warm sweater or windbreaker for cool evenings.
