Since Zigong does not have its own civil airport, most travelers choose to fly into the region's largest hub in Chengdu. This international airport accepts flights from all over the world and numerous cities in China, providing convenient access to Sichuan Province.

Alternative flight options include airports in Yibin or Neijiang. These air gateways are located significantly closer to the city and are well-connected to it by ground transport, allowing you to complete your journey in a short time.

Rail travel is one of the most comfortable ways to reach Zigong. The city is integrated into China's modern railway network, allowing for quick travel from neighboring Neijiang and other key cities in the province.

The shortest route is from Neijiang: a 46-kilometer trip that takes only about 45–50 minutes. Ride-hailing services are highly developed in China, making intercity transfers a convenient alternative to public transport, especially for small groups of tourists.
