The Golden Horn (Zlatni Rat) beach is a true gem of the Adriatic and, without exaggeration, the signature landmark of Croatia. Located on the southern coast of Brač Island, near the charming town of Bol, this beach regularly features on lists of the most beautiful in Europe. Its uniqueness lies in its unusual shape: a long pebble spit that extends into the sea for about 634 meters.
The main feature attracting tourists from all over the world is the Golden Horn's ability to change its contours. Under the influence of winds, waves, and sea currents, the tip of the spit constantly moves, turning either east or west. Thus, every visit to the beach is unique in its own way, as nature acts as the master architect here.
The beach is covered with fine, smooth pebbles that are comfortable to walk on, and at its base lies a thick pine grove providing shade and a pleasant coniferous scent. The waters here are crystal clear with a rich turquoise hue, making it an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling. Due to its unique natural landscape, Golden Horn Beach is protected by the state as a geomorphological monument.
