Piazza in Batumi is one of the most recognizable and attractive landmarks of sunny Georgia. This charming square, covering about 5,700 square meters, was designed by talented Georgian architect Vazha Orbeladze. He was inspired by classic Venetian architecture, in particular the famous St. Mark's Square and the Florentine Piazza della Signoria, which gives this corner of Batumi a unique European charm.

The heart of Piazza and its main pride is the magnificent figurative marble mosaic, recognized as the largest in Europe. This work of art was created by artist Natalia Amirejibi de Pita and masterfully crafted in Abu Dhabi. The mosaic fascinates with its theme, symbolizing the sea element and eternal movement: it depicts five sea deities in colorful robes, with a graceful little mermaid at the center of the composition.
The architectural ensemble of Piazza is designed in an exquisite Italian style, highlighted by bright mosaic panels, elegant stained-glass windows, and an elegant clock tower. All this creates a wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere right in the heart of Batumi. Numerous restaurants, cafes, hotels, and even a children's entertainment center are nestled around the square, turning Piazza into a lively cultural and public center where life is always buzzing and music is playing.
