Ashikaga Flower Park is a true floral kingdom located in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. This unique botanical garden, sprawling over approximately 94,000 square meters, is rightfully considered one of the most picturesque places on the planet. The park gained worldwide fame for its incredible wisterias ("fuji" in Japanese), which create a fairy-tale atmosphere during their blooming period.

The park's main pride is undoubtedly its magnificent wisterias, some of which are over 150 years old. Visitors can walk through famous flower tunnels where thousands of clusters in shades of purple, pink, white, and even rare yellow hang from arches. Photos of these magical corridors and the massive wisteria tree, whose canopy resembles a giant umbrella, have spread worldwide, making the park a pilgrimage site for photographers and beauty lovers.
While wisterias are Ashikaga's signature, the park is beautiful at any time of year. A vast variety of other flowers are featured here, succeeding one another throughout the seasons: from tulips and roses to azaleas and hydrangeas. In winter, the park grounds are transformed by one of Japan's largest illumination festivals, "The Garden of Illuminated Flowers," where over five million LED lights recreate floral arrangements, turning the garden into a magical light fairy tale.
