Sundial Square is one of the most vibrant and recognizable landmarks that Šiauliai has to offer. This unique architectural ensemble, located in Lithuania, was officially opened in 1986 to commemorate the city's 750th anniversary.

The centerpiece of the composition is an impressive 18-meter obelisk topped with a gilded figure of a running Archer. On clear days, the obelisk serves as a gnomon for the tallest sundial in Lithuania, casting a shadow on a dial with cast numbers embedded in the square's paving.
The concept of this site combines three main symbols of the city: the sun, associated with a historic battle; the archer, reflecting the etymology of the name Šiauliai; and time. The square is designed in the shape of an amphitheater and is considered an ideal spot to experience the spirit of this "Sun City."
