When preparing for a journey to Santa Maria, one should focus on the hot tropical climate characteristic of this region. The basis of your luggage should be light clothing made from natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton or linen, as the average daytime temperature rarely drops below 26°C. In the dry season, which lasts from January to April, the sun is particularly active, so be sure to bring a wide-brimmed hat, high-quality sunglasses, and cream with a high SPF protection factor to avoid burns during walks.
