Hidden right beneath the cobblestones of the Market Square lies one of the most fascinating attractions Poland has to offer — the Rzeszów Underground Tourist Route (Rzeszowskie Piwnice). This unique interactive space is a complex labyrinth of 34 historical chambers and corridors with a total length of 213 meters.

Once, these cellars served as warehouses and shelters for residents, but today the city of Rzeszów has transformed them into a modern cultural institution. The route harmoniously combines the authentic brickwork of medieval cellars with cutting-edge multimedia technologies. Visitors can expect light installations, sound effects, and interactive screens that bring legends and real historical events of the past to life.
Reopened in its renovated form in early 2022, this site has become more than just a museum; it is an innovative platform for education and art. Outside, in front of the entrance, guests are greeted by the Culture Square (Skwer Kultury) with a spectacular LED floor, which in the evenings turns into a stage for light shows, linking the historical heritage of the undergrounds with the modern rhythm of city life.
