History & Facts

The history of this green space dates back to 1950, when the city community decided that a large-scale recreational zone was needed. However, the official opening of National Revival Park took place much later, in 1978. An interesting feature is that the city's residents themselves actively participated in its landscaping and planting, contributing their own labor to create what would become a favorite holiday spot.

During the Soviet period, the park was known as "Komsomolsky." With the country's independence, it received its current, symbolic name, reflecting the spirit of a new era and respect for national roots.

A landmark year for the park was 1986. That was when the famous Singing Field (Spivoche Pole) opened on its territory. This structure was the first open-air concert venue of its kind in the country, establishing the park as the region's main cultural stage.

Over the decades, the park has continuously evolved: new tree species were planted, infrastructure was updated, and modern monuments appeared, turning it into a living monument of landscape art and social life.

Time Needed

To fully enjoy the atmosphere and tranquility of this place, we recommend planning at least 2–3 hours for your visit. This will be enough time for a leisurely stroll along the main alleys, seeing the cultural sites, and a short rest on a shaded bench.

If you plan to visit the Singing Field, stop by a local cafe, or bring children to the playgrounds, you could easily spend half a day here. The vast 54-hectare territory encourages long stays in the fresh air without feeling rushed.

Working Hours

A huge advantage of National Revival Park is its accessibility: it is open to visitors 24/7. You can enjoy a morning jog at dawn or a romantic stroll under the lanterns late at night.

However, keep in mind that associated services have their own schedules. Amusement rides, rental points, and cafes usually start around 10:00 and close around 20:00–21:00, depending on the season and weather conditions. On holidays, events at the Singing Field may last until late evening.
