Strolling through the historic center of Rzeszów, it’s hard to miss one of its most picturesque landmarks — the Old Well on Market Square. This structure, which in Poland is affectionately called "studnia," is a true symbol of the city. The well was likely built in the 16th or 17th century and provided locals with clean drinking water for hundreds of years, reaching an impressive depth of 15 meters.

Today, it is not just a historical artifact but a modern piece of art. For a long time, it remained hidden beneath layers of earth and was only rediscovered in 2001 during the square's reconstruction. Since then, it has been carefully restored, preserving the authentic stonework while adding striking modern details: a durable glass dome and a decorative frog figurine.
This well serves as a center of attraction for tourists and residents of Rzeszów alike. In the evening, it transforms into a vibrant multimedia installation thanks to sophisticated lighting and sound effects. It is a place where centuries-old history meets modern technology, creating a unique atmosphere on the city's main square.
