Modlin Fortress is one of the largest and most historically significant defensive structures in Poland, located just 30 kilometers northwest of vibrant Warsaw. It majestically sprawls at the confluence of the Vistula and Narew rivers, serving as a true monument to the military architecture and engineering of past centuries.

The main pride and distinguishing feature of Modlin Fortress is its citadel, which houses the longest military barracks in Europe. Their length is an incredible 2,250 meters! This fact alone makes the fortress a unique site, drawing the attention of both historians and curious travelers eager to experience monumental evidence of the past.
Today, a significant part of Modlin Fortress has been turned into a memorial complex, which is also partially used by the Polish Army. The defensive barracks, fragments of ancient fortifications, and several forts are open to visitors, providing a deeper understanding of the scale and strategic importance of this structure. In October 2008, the fortress was added to the Masovian heritage register, emphasizing its cultural and historical value to the region and the entire country.
