Imagine a unique journey through the aquatic ecosystems of the "Dark Continent" without leaving Europe. The Wroclaw Aquarium, widely known as the Africarium, is a magnificent oceanarium located within the zoo that Wroclaw is so proud of. It is the only facility of its kind in Poland, entirely dedicated to the flora and fauna of Africa.

The complex, which opened in 2014, is an architectural marvel shaped like a massive ship. Inside, it hides 19 pools and aquariums containing over 15 million liters of water. Here, the biotopes of the Red Sea, East Africa, and the Namibian coast have been recreated, allowing guests to see thousands of animals—from tiny tropical fish to massive hippos and sharks.
A highlight for tourists is the 18-meter transparent underwater tunnel running through the depths of the Mozambique Channel. Walking through it, you'll find yourself surrounded by rays and sharks, creating an incredible sense of immersion in the ocean's depths. This place is rightfully considered one of the country's most visited attractions.
