Nicolae Romanescu Park is a true gem of Craiova and one of the most impressive landscape parks in Romania. Spanning an area of about 100 hectares, it is an outstanding example of landscape architecture and is recognized as a national historical monument. The park's design, created by French architect Édouard Redont, even won a gold medal at the World's Fair in Paris in 1900.

The park's main feature is its diverse landscape. Here, dense woodlands give way to wide avenues, and elegant decorative bridges, including the famous Suspension Bridge, span picturesque bodies of water. The central element of the composition is a large artificial lake covering about 4 hectares, which gives this place its special charm.
Nicolae Romanescu Park is not just a green zone, but an ideal place for relaxation and leisurely walks. Visitors can explore mysterious grottoes, admire Romantic-style architectural elements like the "Enchanted Castle," and simply enjoy the tranquility of nature. It is a must-visit destination to experience the harmony and beauty created at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
