Imagine a place where time seems to have stood still in the elegant Baroque era. The Brukenthal National Museum is not just an exhibition space, but the oldest museum in a country like Romania and one of the first in Europe. Located in a magnificent 18th-century palace in the heart of Sibiu, it invites you to dive into an atmosphere of aristocratic luxury and fine art.

The foundation of this unique complex was the private collection of Baron Samuel von Brukenthal, the Austrian governor of Transylvania. Today, the museum brings together six different exhibitions covering more than one million items. Here you can see everything: from priceless canvases by European masters and rare medieval manuscripts to unique archaeological finds and hunting items.
The museum's main pride is its Art Gallery, which houses original works by great masters such as Jan van Eyck, Peter Paul Rubens, and Titian. The architecture of the palace itself, modeled after Viennese residences, deserves special attention, striking visitors with its graceful lines and preserved interiors, which make it one of the most visited locations in the region.
