South Park (Yuzhen Park) is one of the largest and most significant parks in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It is designed in a picturesque landscape style, also known as an English park, which gives it a special charm and makes it a favorite destination for both locals and tourists. The park project was developed in 1972 with the aim of creating a "green corridor" from the city to Vitosha Mountain.

The park's territory is characterized by a wide variety of landscape forms and terrain, which allowed for a unique layout with many secluded corners and open spaces. Its entire area is divided into several functional zones, each offering its own leisure opportunities—from quiet walks to active pursuits.
The Perlovska River, which flows through the park, adds special beauty; willows and poplars grow along its banks, creating scenic landscapes. One of the main attractions is "Dolno Ezero" (Lower Lake), where you can observe various bird species and enjoy the tranquility of nature right within the city limits.
From a dendrological perspective, South Park is also of interest: most of its rich collection of trees and shrubs was specially brought from Sofia's nurseries. This makes a walk through the park not only pleasant but also educational, allowing visitors to get acquainted with the diversity of local flora. The park is home to 65 bird species, 29 of which are protected.
