The garden is named after its prominent director, Dimitrie Brândză, a renowned scientist who made significant contributions to the development of this cultural institution. Today, it is not only a scientific research center where students and researchers study floral diversity, but also a popular recreational spot for Bucharest residents and visitors, attracting many guests daily. The Botanical Museum is also housed within a building designed in the Brâncovenesc style.
