The Weavers' Bastion (Bastionul Țesătorilor) is one of the most impressive and monumental defensive structures preserved for us by medieval Brașov. Erected in the 15th century by the local guild of craftsmen, it served as a reliable shield for the city for centuries. Today, it is not just a historical monument but a unique museum complex located in the southwestern part of the fortress walls that protected Romania in ancient times.
The bastion's architecture is striking in its power: the total area is about 1,600 square meters, and the thickness of its stone walls reaches four meters in some places. Inside, along the perimeter, are characteristic wooden galleries that were once used to store supplies and house defenders; today, they serve as exhibition halls.

The main feature of this site is its magnificent state of preservation. Unlike many other fortifications, the Weavers' Bastion has reached our days almost in its original form. Visitors appreciate it for the special atmosphere of the rugged Middle Ages and the opportunity to see rare historical artifacts in an authentic setting.
